On the outside, you may have seen
Tattoos, a beard and motorcycles,
Rough and tough, and full of grit.
Riding fast and tough as nails.
But for those of us who knew him,
We saw so much more.
A dad who taught his daughter
That no man could ever fill his shoes.
A father who taught his son
The joys of being a man.
A husband who loved his
And provided for his family.
A man who loved music and books,
A man who could make you laugh at any time.
Strong headed and stubborn,
But loving to his core.
He'd do anything for his family,
And always protecting his own.
Intelligent and witty,
Full of hundreds of movie lines.
Those of us blessed to know him
Will never be the same.
No other man will ever measure up,
The void will never be filled.
He was taken way too early,
So unexpectedly,
But while we mourn his passing,
Others are happy to see him again.
So while you may have only seen,
The rough and tough exterior,
Don't forget the heart and soul
That made him a perfect man.
