

Robert Leon Lewis Jr., 57, of Loganville, Georgia was born in Warner Robbins, GA to his parents Robert Leon Lewis and Mary A Lewis, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and Lagrange, Georgia and maintained strong ties to his Greek-American heritage.
Robert leaves behind a family heartbroken of his loss. He is survived by his sister, Christina Lewis, who describes him as her best friend and a loving brother who was kind, sensitive, generous, and always able to make her laugh.
Robert is also survived by his three daughters and their mother, Michele Lewis. His girls were the joy of his life. His oldest daughter, Keri,30, is pursuing a Master’s degree in Linguistics in Bremen, Germany. Robert cherished the time they spent together sharing coffee and bird watching. Mariah, 27, will begin her PhD in Political Science at the University of Cincinnati this fall. Her favorite memories of her father was going to Braves games and hearing his terrible dad jokes. Melody, 23, is attending SCAD University where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in photography with a minor in drawing. Her favorite memories of her father include playing
basketball with him, even though she always won.
Robert also leaves behind a blended family that included his wife, Melissa Lewis; her children Mary Atkins, Gavin and Kirsten Atkins, and Madeline Atkins, and a grandson Morrison Keeton, he adored. Melissa describes Robert as a loving husband who was not only her best friend, but also her soul mate. He also leaves behind his beloved cats Teddy and Jack, as well as many Grand pets. Robert was also joined in heaven this week by his beloved soul dog, Lucy, who was dearly loved by him
Robert was a phenomenal businessman, mentor, and leader. He graduated from Lagrange High School in 1986 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech. In 1990. He began his career at the FDA as an investigator and later, in 2001, left to start his own business, IHL Consulting Group.inc, where he worked as an FDA consultant. Robert’s business flourished for over 25 years, and his colleagues and clients describe him as a passionate, brilliant, and deeply influential teacher and professional.
Robert will be remembered most for his love for God and his family, his sharp sense of humor, his brilliant mind, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Parks Foundation or local Humane Society.
