

He was born October 6, 1915 in New York, son of the late Albert and Angela (Fusco) Gale.
A veteran of WWII Albert served with the US Army in the South Pacific Theater. He retired from New Departure after many years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, the Southington Redmen and the American Legion Post 72.
He is survived by three children, Nancy Almquist and husband Richard Sr. of Southington, Thomas Gale and Wife Michele of Southington and Barbara Gale of Kensington; a sister Julia DeMennato of Orange; four grandchildren, Karen Perry and husband Bo of Plainville, Richard Almquist Jr., Melanie Deal and Thomas Gale Jr. and wife Melissa all of Southington; four great grandchildren, Tommy, Olivia, Bella Rose and Lilly along with three nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas Gale and a son-in-law, Gerald Thibeault. Albert?s family would like to thank all of the nursing and care staff of the Southington Care Center, as well as Steve McCarty, the Recreation Director for their dedication to Al.
A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial with military honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to the Southington Care Center Healing Garden, 45 Meriden Ave., Southington, CT 06489.
