Alexander F. Miller

He was born in New Britain on Oct. 1, 1938, the son of the late Alexander M. and Marguerite F. Miller. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Alex was a Master Electrician and co-owner of Pattengell Electric Co. in New Britain. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers for 55 years and was a longtime member of the New Britain Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, visiting Rhode Island beaches, and spending time at Saratoga Racetrack. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his 4 grandchildren.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Jean (Moccio) Miller, 3 sons, Alexander F. Miller Jr and wife Stacy all of Plantsville, Michael and wife Rebecca Miller of Newport, RI and Jason and wife Melissa Miller of Newington. He adored and cherished his grandchildren Julian, Elijah, Cole and Grace. He also leaves many close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8pm.
