

WOLCOTT-Alice (Bengston) Perry, 74, of Wolcott died on Sunday morning in the home in which she lived nearly her entire life, after battling bravely for almost five years with her second bout of cancer. She was the wife for fifty-two years of Robert J. Perry, Sr.
A descendant of two passengers aboard the Mayflower, Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford and military advisor Myles Standish, as well as ancestors who fought in King Philip´s War, the Pequot War, most of the colonial wars, the American Revolution and the Civil War, she was the daughter of Elmer and Alice (Woodin) Bengston. She loved spending time in her yard, visiting with her grandchildren, playing setback and rooting for the Yankees.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four sons, Robert and his wife Karen of Dillwyn, VA , Gary and his wife Pamela of Richmond, RI, David and his wife Iris of Bethlehem,CT, Kevin and his wife Angela of Wolcott, ten grandchildren, Samuel, Amanda, Jessica, Christopher, Allison, Elizabeth and Nathan Perry, Alyssa Devlin, Adriana and Eric Quinones and one great-granddaughter Alana Reddick, two sisters Lilly Hall of Southington and Betty Smarelli of Ansonia.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday meeting directly at All Saints Episcopal Church 282 Bound Line Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will follow Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott.
