

Angela was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 6, 1921 and was married on August 16, 1942. While awaiting her husband?s return from the service during World War II, she supported her country by working in one of the munitions factories along with thousands of other dedicated women. Angela was also an incredibly talented seamstress who designed bridal gowns for The Bergdorf Goodman Store in New York City. She later used this talent to create unique bride dolls for her granddaughters, and other family members as a keepsake. Angela and her family also spent eleven years living on Long Island. After her husband?s passing in 1972, she moved to Southington to reside with her daughter and son-in-law. She was employed by Allied Control Company in Plantsville. In her later years, she volunteered in the Southington School System as well as at Bradley Memorial Hospital. In addition, she was a devoted parishioner of Saint Thomas Church. Angela?s family, was the most important part of her life, she never hesitated to show her love or to share how proud she was of each of them.
She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Tutino, Jr. of Rocky Hill, Janice DeSorbo and her husband Donald of Southington, her four granddaughters: Lisa Gallo of Meriden, Amelia and her husband Jason Balisciano of Plantsville, Jaime Tutino of Cromwell, Alicia and her husband Tommy Atterrato of Southington, and seven cherished great grandchildren: Ashley, Nicholas, Sophia, Ava, Jaylen, Jesselle and Alaina.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.Main St.,Southington to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southington Care Center, Recreation & Activity Fund, 45 Meriden Ave., Southington, CT 06489.
The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to the Southington Care Center staff for their dedication, loving care and kindness that was shown not only to Angela but to the entire family as well.
