
Southington- Annette Brunelli, 94, of Southington, died Jan 30, 2007 at the Southington Care Center. She was the wife for 66 year of the late Paul Brunelli and a long time parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
Born on June 20, 1912, in the town of Conversano, in the Bari region of Italy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Colizzi.
Annette grew up in Staten Island, NY and later moved to New Haven, CT where she meet Paul, the love of her life. They moved to Southington and together managed the Colonial Theatre from 1935- 1945. In 1945 they went into business for themselves and started the Brunelli Radio, TV and Appliance Store, which they operated until their retirement in 1980. A strong and active woman all her life, Annette was an avid and knowledgeable gardener. She practiced organic gardening using rich natural materials from her backyard compost to raise hundreds of lush perennials from her own seed. She was also a competitive bowler who made many dear friends at Laurel Lanes in Plainville, where she bowled twice a week until September 2006.
She enjoyed watching the UCONN Huskies women?s basketball team on TV and in her spare time read hundreds of books from the Southington Library.
She leaves a daughter and son-in-law Bertha and Anthony Termine of Boston MA, a daughter-in-law Madeline Brunelli of Plantsville, wife of the late Paul Brunelli Jr., four grandchildren, Peter Brunelli and Maria Kelley both of Southington , Christina Termine of Key Biscayne, FL and Michelle Termine of Boston, MA, four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah and Caroline Charlton and Jordan Kelley, a brother-in- law Edward and his wife Emma Brunelli of East Haven, and several nieces, nephews,, cousins and dear friends.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Thomas Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Calling hours will be on Friday from 3-7 p.m.
