

Born February 13, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to Salvatore and Beatrice (Cataldo) Conte, he was the beloved husband of RoseAnn (Cannella) Conti for 46 years. High school sweethearts, they relocated to Southington in 1981. His favorite part of life was spending time with family, especially Sunday dinners.
Anthony also leaves his two devoted sons Anthony Jason Conti of Glastonbury and Justin Eric Conti of Southington who were immeasurably supportive throughout his illness, his granddaughter, Jade Marie Conti who was the love of his life and with whom he spent many cherished hours, his siblings, Joseph and Carol Conti, Gina Conti Smith, Rosie Conti Boan, Susie Conti, Salvatore and Paula Conti, Mary (Conti) and Niles Lindeborg, Vincent and Debra Conte, sisters in law Arlene and Pauline Cannella, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by a brother Nicholas Conti, A very special nephew Salvatore Conti and brother in law Richard Smith. Anthony served in the Army Infantry Reconnaissance in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked for Pizzatola Electric and was a partner of Bleachers Sports Bar.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Herta Chao, the entire oncology, palliative care and hospice team at the VA Hospital, also Dr. Charles Walker, Dr. Patricia Cioffi and Faith Fusco, APRN for their special care over the years.
The funeral will be held on Monday March 23 at 10:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. for an 11:00 am Mass at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-6 pm. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
