Born December 26, 1947 in Southington, she was the daughter of the late James and Victoria (Ferrucci) Santo.
Carol loved people. She worked in retail her whole life, Walgreen's and the Freihofer's Bakery Outlet and shared her vivacious personality with everyone she encountered. Early in marriage, Carol suggested that she and Ed take in Ed's parents, knowing that his mother needed total care. Carol was the most selfless person, giving so much to everyone around her. Her Italian cookies were legendary, baking about 1000 each Christmas for family and friends. Her Halloween parties for her nieces and nephews spanned over the last 25 years and were awaited and loved by all.
Carol's family would like to thank the Oncology Center at Midstate Hospital for the great care that she received. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kathleen Sorcinelli.
Besides her husband she is survived by 2 sons, Edward Kiely Jr. and his wife Kristina of Meriden and Michael Mullen of Southington; three sisters, Janice Santagata and Ann Sirerol and her husband Joseph all of Southington; Lucille Mastrianni and her husband Richard of Kissimmee, FL; two grandsons, Colton and Zachary Mullen; a brother-in-law Jerry Bleau of Southington and a sister-in-law Margaret Santagata of Southington and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Vivian Bleau and a brother John Santagata.
