Claire Mariani

Born June 6, 1922 in Greenfield, MA daughter of the late Ercole and Maria Iarusso. She had worked a New Departure in Meriden and retired from Lori Engineering in Southington. She was a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church. Mrs. Mariani loved to cook.

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter Joanne Mariani of Plantsville, a brother Ercole Iarusso of Meriden, a granddaughter Jenna Hui Mariani and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Joseph, Jerry and Nicholas Iarusso, Susan Ingeno and Mary Zacker.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N . Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 279 New Britain Rd. Kensington, CT 06037.
