

She was born July 26, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Rice) Mougey. She graduated from St. Ursula Academy and received her B.A in English from Mary Manse College of Toledo. She also attended Fordham University in New York City and later worked for the New Yorker Magazine. She had been a parishioner of St. Francis DeSales Church in Ohio.
Connie married the late Foster Wilson in 1954 and lived most of her life in Newark, Ohio until moving to Connecticut in 2011. She spent decades in volunteer service for the Licking County chapter of the American Cancer Society Board and Reach to Recovery program. She received the Therese Lassiter volunteer of the year award for the state of Ohio. Connie and her husband were instrumental in establishing the St. Frances de Sales school library where she was the librarian for many years. Connie also oversaw the construction of the Alpha Chi Omega house at Denison University, to which she was an honorary sorority member.
Connie is survived by her loving daughter, Ann W. Lynch and husband James, and their children Patrick and Katie of Cheshire, CT as well as her son, Patrick and wife Shanon of Atlanta, GA and four nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Raymond ?Tony? Mougey Jr.of Toledo, OH.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at St. Bridget?s Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
