Don was a great guy and I was sorry to see that he is no longer with us. Thankfully someone posted it on Facebook or I wouldn't have known, since I am currently in SC. I would have attended the services if I was in CT. I knew Don from working at the Dept of Labor and working closely with the Vets on different training programs and also from my time as the union President. Don was a wonderful supporter and believed in the Veterans' programs and everything they did for returning Veterans. He had a great sense of humor, as others have also attested to. He was just an all around great guy. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family for the loss of a wonderful human being.

Lit a candle in memory of Donald R. Deutsch

I worked with Don in the New Britain Office, Our friendship goes back thirty six years, we became best friends and even retired together. We always said we have each others back and loved each other like family. He even spent several holidays with me and my family, they all just loved him. I'm going to miss him so much and our always funny phone calls, I think our shortest was one hour. He was my rock, even when In wasn't feeling well he always managed to raise my sperit. I'm going to miss all our happy times together.  Rest in peace Don, you are always in my prayers.  My deepest sympathy to Don's family and his children who he loved so much. Sorry to hear of Don's passing. I worked with him at the Bristol office, Department of Labor. Great guy!! He was a caring soul...may he rest easy. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

My condolences to Donald's family, may he rest in peace. It's been a long time since I walked Buell Street with him. I was born in the same month as Don and attended local schools with him. How quickly time passes, life is short and precious, especially as we grow older and struggle with health issues. Again, my sympathies to his family and close friends at this difficult time.

I worked with Don in the Bristol office. Very good sense of  humor and very dedicated to his fellow veterans. My deepest sympathies to his children who he loved very much

Don had a great sense of humor and we shared some good times, funny stories and laughs.  When he set a goal, he was ever so determined to reach it, and despite ups and downs along the way, maintained that sense of humor throughout.   The happy times are the ones missed most.   We are comforted by the thought that he now, no doubt, he is smiling still.
