Ned was born on September 7, 1963, the youngest child of the late Dr. James G. Tynan and Mary (Walsh) Tynan. He graduated from Wolcott High School and attended Lyndon State College. He worked as a liquor store manager at several area locations, most recently at Mountain Top Liquors. Ned enjoyed golf, playing cards, watching the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and the UCONN Huskies and was a pretty good pool player.

Ned leaves his daughter Kayla Tynan of Southington, his daughter Krystal Tynan and her husband Joesph Solla, and his grandson Dylan all of Farmington and his devoted partner Laurie Secula with whom he made his home. He is also survived by his mother Mary Tynan and siblings James, Richard, William, Marita Calabro, Gerald and Brian. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles and John.
