He was the husband of Theresa ( Parian) Rompre and were married for 33 years. Theresa was his princess bride and he loved her very much. Edward was born on January 6, 1953 in Waterbury and was the son of Alice (Gagnan) Rompre of Waterbury and the late Robert Rompre. Ed was employed by Uniroyal in Naugatuck. He was an avid bingo player, loved to play ?the claw machine?, enjoyed fishing, boating and horseback riding. He was a communicant of St. Bridget?s Church of Cheshire.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a sister Carolyn Brown and her husband Samuel of Watertown, a brother Francis Rompre and his wife Lenore of Waterbury, a niece and several nephews, his best friends, the Rancourts, Kellys, Tierinni and Higgins.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m. at St Bridget?s Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 15, 5-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
