

Eleanor B. Alfieri, 98, of Southington, passed away peacefully at Southington Care Center on June 26, 2025. Eleanor was born on April 4th, 1927, in Meriden, a daughter of the late Stephen Bochinski and Stephanie Lewandoski. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Alfieri.
Growing up in Meriden, Eleanor attended Saint Stanislaus Elementary School and Old Meriden High School. She alongside her husband, owned and operated Alfieri’s Greenhouses in Cheshire for over 40 years. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City, and she was an avid UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball fan.
She is survived by her son, Joseph M. Alfieri and his wife Pat of Southington, sister Lorraine Bochinski Traskos of Portland, granddaughter Stephanie Lynn Perez and her husband Luis of SC, great granddaughter Emily Perez, great grandson Jeremy Perez, nieces Sheryl Traskos of Portland, Stephanie Traskos Carlson and her husband Wayne of Middletown, great nieces and nephews Melissa, Benjamin, Nicholas and Jacob Carlson. She will also be missed by her godchild Jody Murphy of Shelton, and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Joseph, Eleanor is predeceased by her sister Frances Bochinski, brothers John Bochinski and his wife Anne, Edward Bochinski and his wife Violet “Dolly”.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Southington Care Center for the exemplary care and kindness given to Eleanor.
