Eleanor and Nick were the true images and pillars  of St Aloysius Church since it’s founding. She was Loving, pious and always present to help or serve anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all whom she touched prayerfully and personally. 
Her dedication as a teacher will also be remembered by all whom she so lovingly touched.

Dear Family of Eleanor,  I was a member of St. Aloysius Church and active in the Ladies Guild with Eleanor, as well as a Eucharistic Minister. I was the director of Southington Housing Authority where Eleanor would faithfully come to bring the Eucharist to the Catholic residents weekly.   Eleanor was a humble servant of the Lord, and I believe she is now in the peace and care of Our Lord in her new life.  I was also the secretary of several Town building committees, of which Nick was a very dedicated volunteer, sharing his knowledge, time and time again.  He showed a great deal of respect for me, though I was only the secretary to these committees.  They, husband and wife, together, were a great couple and I was glad that they considered me a friend.  I have missed them over the last few years, but will remember them always.  May your memories of them be helpful in forming your decisions during the rest of your own years on this earth.  God's blessings to all.

So very sorry for the loss of your Mom.   I use to walk by the house with my dog and would see Eleanor and Nicholas outside with their miniature collie that your dad said he bought because of our family dog, Lassie.  My sister and I were students of your dad at Strong school. Always said hello to your dad after mass. I would also see your Mom during mass. She sometimes purchased food at a restaurant where I worked part time and would say hello.  I'm so very sorry for your loss, such a wonderful person and couple.  She is now with your dad in heaven.  May Eleanor rest in peace. Sending prayers and hugs to you and your family.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother.  She was such a wonderful, kind woman.  I had her as a teacher at Milldale School and a catechism teacher at St. Aloysius Church.  She was also a neighbor and good friend of my Aunts on Diana Rd.  May she Rest In Peace.

Your parents are two wonderful people devoted to their community, church and each other.  
Your mom was such a good cook and always a staple on the alter at Mass in the morning.  Your dad was so inviting and kind to me.  He encouraged me with his kindness when I was going through a cancer diagnosis.  
They were a special couple.  May they now rest in peace. may they know the realization of the promises of the God they served!  They loved u so much!  I recall your mom sharing with me the excitement she had when she found out she was pregnant with u.   You were their joy.   Carrying that love forward in your own life may give u purpose and peace during this difficult time.

In life, every once in a while, someone comes along who is a little more special than the rest.  She has an attitude of grace (even under fire), and a cheerfulness that makes you smile - a warmth and wit that is just so nice to be around.  This was Eleanor.  God bless her ... and Nick. We were so sorry to hear of  Mrs. De Paola’s passing.  She was a kind and generous woman who we came to know and love. Our thoughts are with Bob, Mike and the rest of her family.
