Elizabeth "Tante" Gosse

WATERBURY- Miss Elizabeth E. “Tante” Gosse, 88, formerly of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at The Pines at Bristol.

Born in New Britain on May 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Zielke) Gosse. For many years, she did domestic work in the greater Waterbury area. Residing in Waterbury for most of her life, Betty enjoyed her short strolls to the downtown area. She spent her later years living with her niece Karyn and her husband Carl Hillman and their children Carl, Brooke and Conner in Wolcott, where she spent her time reading outside with the family dog Misty. Betty had a sweet and gentle spirit that will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She is also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews including nephews Stephen Konavaluk of Delafield,WI, Ronald Gosse of Colechester, CT, nieces Eileen Japs of Waterbury and Carol McGuire of East Hartford. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian Konavaluk, and brothers Adolph and Edward Gosse.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hour is from 10 AM until the time of the funeral.
