Eugene Kelly

Born in Hartford on Dec. 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Adele Kelly. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He later graduated from the University of CT. He was the proprietor of Gene Kelly Real Estate in Suffield. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Church in Suffield. He was a 30 year member of Suffield Country Club and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.

Besides his wife of 66 years he is survived by his children, Ellen Motolo and her husband Vincent of Suffield, Joan Beresford and fiance` Charles Bolanowski of Southington, Joyce Baldwin and her husband Stephen of IN, Patricia Kelly and her partner Jennifer Petagine of Southington, Philip Kelly and his wife Bonnie of Meriden, grandchildren Jaime, Jen, Julie, Michael, Patty, Katie, Jeffrey, Kristen, Shawn and great grandchildren Carter, Hillary, Heidi, Brady, Celine, Nathan, Tyler, Blake, Bryce and Beckett.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
