Eva Riccio

She was born in Faicchio, Benevento, Italy on Nov. 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Antonio and Filomena Ciaburri and moved, with her family to Southington in 1954 to join the family of the late Ralph and Rose Riccio. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Newcomb Springs of CT. Eva enjoyed cooking and preparing family meals. She was also an avid gardener and helped with the family Christmas tree farm in Somers. She was a devoted communicant of St. Thomas Church.

She is survived by her devoted son, Vito Riccio of Somers, a sister Amelia Ferrucci of Amorosi, Italy, a nephew Ralph Ciaburri and wife Connie and a grand-nephew Michael Ciaburri all of Southington, She also leaves many loving great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Michele Ciaburri and her twin nephews, Vito and Ralph Riccio and niece, Sadie D’Aunno.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 8:30-10:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St.
