Francis James Tully

Francis James Tully, 83, of Southington passed away on July 3, 2022 at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Marquis) Tully for 55 years.

He was born on February 6, 1939 in New Britain, the son of the late Francis and Anna (Maiorano) Tully. He served in the US Army and a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72.

Fran retired from General Electric in Plainville for 30 years. He was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church. He loved baseball and the NY Yankees. He coached Little League baseball and Senior League baseball at Southington North. He also played softball well into his 70’s at the Wallingford Senior League. He enjoyed family picnics and dancing at family weddings.

In addition to his wife Patricia he leaves two brothers William Tully and Dick Tully both of Southington. He also leaves behind 3 sisters-in-law, Sylvia Paradis of Southington, Terry Manship of East Hartford and Rolande Ouellette of Madawaska ME and also several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his beloved cat Jayden.

. He was predeceased by his son Justin Tully.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10 am at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road. there are no calling hours. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
