

He was born on July 30, 1932 in Waterbury son of the late Domenic and Concetta (Rosa) Rosa. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post 165. For over 50 years owned Rosa Home Improvement in Wolcott. As an active parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church, he served on the Building and Grounds Committee. He loved God, his wife, his family, his dog, gardening and summer vacations in the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine.
Besides his devoted wife of over 61 years, he is survived by three sons Francis Rosa of Cheshire, Paul and his wife Karen Rosa of Wolcott, John Rosa of Brookfield, two daughters Carol Rosa Sabia and her husband Russ of Belmont, MA, Catherine Fagan and her husband John of Wolcott, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by all of his siblings, Anthony, Domenic and Joseph Rosa, Jane (Bruno) Dougherty, Carmella Emanuel and Mary Primus.
Funeral will be Saturday 9:15 AM from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott to St. Maria Goretti Church for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 PM.
