Born in Machiasport, ME, a son of the late Joseph and Winnie Kneidl. He served in both WWII and the Korean War.
Franz was a mechanical engineer, having worked at Pratt & Whitney, Avco, Stanley Works and his own business KHC.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Lynn Kneidl-Morin and her husband Frank of New Britain; a son, Brad Kneidl and his wife Eneida his grandchildren, Paul, Jordan, Taylor, Silvana and Sebastian. He was predeceased by a brother Bud.
He will be dearly missed.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday September 22, 2007, 11 AM at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
