Born on October 21, 1942 in Winsted, CT, George was the son of the late George and Marie (Turgeon) Boissonneau. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew him. George served his nation proudly in the United States Army.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sylvia (Weisgable) Boissonneau, who was his steadfast companion and greatest supporter. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family.
He leaves behind his children: son Edward J. Zak and his wife Andrea; daughter Rebecca Misko and her husband William; and daughters Barbara Boissonneau and Michelle Boissonneau. George was a proud and loving grandfather to Hailey DiPasquale and her husband Justin, Alicia Zak, and Joseph and Paul Misko.
George had a lifelong passion for music and especially loved playing the guitar. Whether entertaining friends and family or simply strumming for his own joy, music was his faithful companion. He also enjoyed friendly competition and camaraderie through pool, bowling, and golf—activities that brought him many happy memories and lasting friendships.
George’s easy going nature, kind heart, and quick wit made him a joy to be around. He will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his playful sense of humor, and the music he brought into the lives of others.
