Geraldine Russo

Born on June 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Julia (Feola) Russo. She was predeceased by her sister MaryAnn Russo, brother Peter Russo and Linda Rungi. Prior to her retirement she was the warehouse manager at the Johnson & Johnson Company in Bristol for over 33 years. She also worked at General Electric and Lake Eyelet in Southington for several years. She enjoyed many summers camping at Hammonasset Beach, trips to Cape Cod and the Mohegan Sun and working in the yard. She was always excited to visit Chunnie Town Farm in Haddam, the breeder of her beloved Shih tzu Mia. Geri made frequent trips to Sweet Mia's in Plantsville and never said no to a takeout order from Giovanni’s Pizza. She rented the “Katelyn” cottage in Clinton where she enjoyed many special times with life-long friends and family. Geri loved caring for her dogs and her brother's dogs and macaw, Big Bird when he became ill. Geri will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thank you for the loving care of Evelyn "Mamacita" Velez, a very special home health aide from M.R. Homecare in Bristol, Justin Michaud, Director of M.R. Homecare, and all those involved with her care.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-11 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
