Iris J. Slowkowski

Born October 1, 1944 in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Paul) Jones.

Iris was employed by North East Utilities for several years. She was a member of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church and loved crocheting and word puzzles.

Besides her husband Anthony, she leaves two sons, Anthony (TJ) Slowkowski of Bristol and Guy Slowkowski of Plainville; a brother Robert L. Jones of Westfield, a sister Linda DeVivo and husband Donald of Plantsville; four grandchildren, Kathryn, Thomas, Hannah and Zachary and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Guest and the aides from the VNA who took wonderful care of Iris.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul?s Episcopal Church, 145 Main St., Southington. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., 148 Eastern Blvd., Glastonbury, CT 06033. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington has charge of the arrangements.
