

She was born in Southington on Aug. 25, 1933, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Galiette) Simone. She retired from Insilco Corp in Meriden and recently worked as the Gift Shop Bookeeper at Bradley Memorial Hospital. Jean was very active at St. Thomas Church and served as President of the Ladies Guild for many years. She was active member of the Bradley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was instrumental in putting together the annual fashion show.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Weisenburger and her husband Jeff of Hebron and her son Walter Kirychuk and his wife Pamela of Lewisville, TX. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Erika and Kurt Weisenburger, a sister Rosalyn Manware of Cheshire, a sister-in-law Millie Simone of Southington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean also leaves behind many special friends , especially Flo DeFeo, Betty Porter and Allan Gemmell. She was predeceased by her brothers George F. Simone Jr. and Joseph F. Simone Sr.
Jean was full of love, always putting others before her. She loved her family and community and will be missed by all.
The Funeral will be held Monday 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Jean S. Kirychuk Scholarship Fund c/o TD Bank, 121 Main St. Southington, CT 06489.
