Jeffrey Morelli

Southington- Jeffrey Allen Morelli, 46, passed away Monday August 13th peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Born on May 29, 1961 he was the son of James and Phyllis Morelli. He was a life long Southington resident. Jeffrey attended the Southington Association for Retarded Citizens schooling program in Plantsville, as well as the Southington Public School System's program for children with disabilities.

Jeff was employed by the Kuhn employment agency in Meriden for more than 25 years. His most recent job was Custodial Assistant at the Meriden Public Library where he happily spent each workday. Jeff loved to attend events with the Southington ARC recreation group and was a passionate bowler, dancer and moviegoer. He enjoyed his weekly exercise visits to the Southington YMCA. And was a devoted and loyal Boston Red Sox fanatic.

Besides his parents, he is survived by 2 brothers, Jim Morelli Jr. and his wife Ceil, Stephen Morelli and his wife Melanie, a sister Beth Landino and her husband Phil, his nieces and nephews, JT , Charlie, Jessica, and Hailey Morelli, Stephen Morelli Jr., Erica, Emily and Heather Landino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.

The entire Morelli family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to each and every of the many care providers that made Jeffrey's life the success that it was. We truly appreciate everyone's support from the coaches, drivers

and staff at Kuhn to the numerous companies that provided occupational opportunities for the disabled, to the medical staffs at Hartford and Bradley Memorial Hospitals, to his personal doctors and all their assistants and to all those who tirelessly volunteer to provide a meaningful future to retarded citizens everywhere. Words can never express this family's sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you!
