John Corbett

Born on February 3, 1943 in Waterbury, he was the son of the late John M. and Mary (LaChance) Corbett. He served in the US Navy from 1962-64. He worked for UPS for over 35 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed vacationing with family in Rhode Island. He was also a proud member of the Whip-poor-will Club in Wolcott. Besides his devoted wife, he is survived by his children Donna Corbett of Wolcott, Paula and her husband Steve Avoletta of Torrington, Mary-Lou Corbett of Indian Trail, NC, John J. and his wife Kristin Corbett of Middlebury a sister Noreen Barquero of The Colony,TX, five grandchildren Micheal Swirski, Nicolette and Dylan LaMadeleine, Bailey Trocolla and Robbie Corbett.

John’s family would like to thank all of the staff at VITAS Hospice for their compassionate care.

Funeral will be Tuesday 10:15 AM from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for Mass at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
