John H. LaRose

Southington- John H. LaRose Sr., 72, of Edgewood Circle, passed away on Nov. 5, 2008 at the Hospital  of Central CT New Britain Campus. He was the husband of JoAnn (Camandona) LaRose and were married 49 years.

John was born in New Britain on March 12, 1936 and was the son of the late

Hubert N. and Jeannette LaRose.

John was a graduate of New Britain High School. He had also served in the US Navy from 1954 – 1958. He was employed by the Hartford Post Office for 16 years. With his retirement he worked at LaRose’s Bakery in New Britain. John was an avid Red Sox and Giants fan, yet he loved volunteering at Western Baseball League.

Besides his wife he is survived by his 5 children John LaRose Jr. and his wife Laura and James LaRose and his wife Sherri all of Southington, Gary LaRose and his wife Donna of Enfield, Janet Zarick and her husband James of Bristol and Jeannette LaRose of Southington. An important part of his life was his 14 grandchildren, Kathryn, Kevin, Stephanie, Brittany, Alicia and Jessica LaRose, Kyle Dube, Amber and Adam Zarick, Elizabeth Frederick, Ryan, Renee and Sarah Cushin and his newest addition Ashley LaRose born on November 7.  He is also survived by a brother Richard LaRose and his wife Lorenza and a sister Carol LaRose and her partner Judy Poirier of FL , a brother- in- law, a sister- in- law Renato Roman and his wife Dolores of New Britain along with a nephew Michael LaRose.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday November 11 at 9:45 AM from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church for a mass at 10:30 AM. Burial with military honors will be at a later date. Calling hours will be Monday 4-8 p.m.
