John Lunn

He was born on August 29, 1961 in Bristol and was the son of the Eileen( Gray) Lunn and the late Donald P. Lunn. He graduated from Wallkill Senior High School in NY. He has been a resident of Southington for over 25 years and employed by UPS. John was recently recognized for 25 years of service from UPS Corp. He will be remembered as a dedicated family man, coaching his children?s football and basketball teams. John enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, UCONN women?s sports, Boston Celtics and Washington Redskins.

Besides his mother of Plainville, John is survived by a son John Lunn Jr., two daughters Melissa and Mary Lunn all of Southington, a step son Brian Blachowski of Jacksonville, FL, three sisters Catherine Dickey and her husband Charles of Jeffersonville, NY, Diane Dionne of Martinsburg, PA, and Rosemary Bilyou of Wallkill, NY along with several generations of aunts, uncles nieces and nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his former spouse Judith (Regis) Lunn of Southington and her parents Andrew and Mary Regis of Plantsville. Besides his father, John was predeceased by two brothers William and Stephen Lunn.

Services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at NOON at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service.
