John Wild

John ?Jay? Wild, 51, of Southington, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at the Masonic Home and Hospital in Wallingford after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was the husband of Mary Lynn (Bernklau) Wild.

He was born Aug.3, 1962 in Washington, DC, the son of Herbert and Charlotte (Killiam) Wild Sr. of Ipswich, MA.

Jay was a driver for UPS. He was an avid golfer, gardener, photographer,the Miami Dolphins #1 fan and loved his crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife and parents he leaves his children, Christina and Andrew Wild both of Southington; a brother Herbert T. Wild Jr. and wife Karen of Cheshire; two sisters, Heather Hennessey and husband Nick of Rockport, MA and Holly Sullo and husband Mickey of Merritt Island, FL; nieces and nephews, Heather, Michael, Herbert III, Travis, Jake, Sydney, Sean, Hunter and Aidan; mother-in-law Mary Ellen (Cupina) Bernklau and Robert Sidorik of Ocean Ridge, FL; two sisters-in-law, Melissa Sullivan and husband Bill of Suffield and Stacy Haskell and husband Mark of Rehoboth, MA.

A celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at 7 p.m. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St.
