

Joseph Landrette, 93, of Southington, passed away surrounded by his family at the Summit of Plantsville. He was the husband of Genoveffa (Longo) Landrette. Born in Southington on February 23, 1922, he was the son of the late Ralph and Rose(Longo) Landrette. Joseph was a lifelong resident of Southington. He was very proud to serve as a US Army Ranger during WWII. He had been a life member of the Commanders Club of the Disabled American Veterans. He had been employed by Union Parker Co. as an electrician, retiring from there in 1985.
Besides his love of his life Genoveffa, he is survived by his daughter Roseann Keklak and her husband Milan of Thomaston and his son Richard Landrette and his wife Donna of Plantsville, a sister Ann Laporte of Southington along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his son David Landrette.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Summit of Plantsville along with Dr. Asciuto and Dr. Prezioso and the staff of General Medical Practice of Southington for all the care and support given to Joseph and his family.
Services for Joseph will be held on Friday at 6 pm from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 4 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association 2080 Silas Dean Hwy 2nd floor Rocky Hill Ct. 06067.
