Joseph Douglas Lanteri

Joseph Douglas Lanteri, 80 of Berlin and a longtime resident of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the HOCC at New Britain General. He was the loving husband of Mary (Vaillancourt) Lanteri. Born in Monroe, LA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Violet (Lalla) Lanteri.

In addition to serving his country with the U.S Army, Joseph established himself as a successful business accountant within the Archdiocese of Hartford. Known for his sense of humor, he could make anyone around him laugh… sometimes even at his own expense. Doug leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories.

In addition to his wife Mary he leaves his two sons, Justin Lanteri and his wife Stephanie of Southington and Jason Lanteri and his wife Carrie of Farmington; three grandchildren Olivia Lanteri, Nicholas Lanteri and Luke Lanteri; a sister Phyllis Orde of Southington and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Gerald Lanteri.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 11 AM at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
