

She was born Nov. 15, 1921 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy (Melillo) Stanco. Josephine retired from Gould Electronics of Southington. Mrs. Draper enjoyed music and loved to sing.
At age 15, she auditioned for and got her own ?live? radio program,
?Moods In Music? on WATR Waterbury. She sang every week for two years.
Josephine had been a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. She loved to play Scrabble, and spending time talking with family and friends.
She leaves her children, Michael Draper and his wife Kathryn of Norman, OK, Nancy Gundlach of Los Angeles , CA, Rebecca Stevens and husband Warren of Plantsville, 2 brother Ernest Stanco of Waterbury and Anthony Stanco of Prospect, her 4 grandchildren; James Draper, Andrew Draper and wife Victoria, Gretchen Gundlach and Bridget Stevens and a great grandson Gabriel. She was predeceased by her brothers, Angelo, Frank, Albert and Alfred.
The Funeral will be held Saturday 8:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 9 a.m. for a mass. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 p.m.
