
Born March 14, 1947 in North Hampton, MA daughter of Marianna Lavoy of Enfield and the late Thomas Lavoy. She attended Cooley-Dickenson School of Nursing in North Hampton, MA and graduated as a registered nurse. She retired 2 months ago from Aetna in Hartford. Judy was an avid reader, artist, loved mysteries and loved traveling through out New England with her husband.
Besides her husband and mother she was the devoted mother of 5 children, Richard T. Meister of Southington, Heather A. McNamara and her husband Larry of Plainville, Mark A. Meister of Southington, Shelly Brann and her husband Paul of Plainville and Nicholas A. Meister of Southington. The beloved grandmother of Alexandria, Aiden, Myles and Ethan Meister, Cole, Connor and Chase McNamara. She also leaves 4 sisters, Joyce Chesery and her husband Tom of Berlin, Jamie Berube and her husband Ken of Enfield, Jacqueline Alaimo of Enfield and Janet Lavoy of Middletown.
The Funeral will be held Saturday at 9:45a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
