

She was born Feb. 24, 1920 in New Britain and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Katherine (Yarosik) Cherpak. She worked at Stanley Works a number of years creating hardware for World War II, but her greatest joy was raising her family and being a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen A. Kopcha and husband Emil of Southington and son Ralph M. Torelli and wife Karen of Derby, KA. She leaves her five grandchildren and spouses Christopher Kopcha and Christine, Katherine Claywell and Kolin, Carolyn Pancarowicz and David, Brian Torelli and Christina and Lisa Behrns and Aaron; 7 great grandchildren, Jack and Owen Kopcha, Juliana and Savannah Claywell, Emily and William Pancarowicz and Kyle Behrns, she also leaves her sister Martha Cherpak of New Britain and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by six brothers Nicholas, John, Steven, Michael, George and Peter, five sisters Mary Gnazzo, Ann Melnyck, Helene Maxwell, Dorothy Prestia and Irene Cherpak.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Mulberry Gardens for all their compassionate care given to our mother for the past five years.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, April 18, 9:30 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Ann Church, 47 Clark St., New Britain for a Mass of Christian burial, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain.
