Born: December 20, 1961

Ken passed on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at his new home in Southington, CT, after relocating from Key West, FL, where he had spent most of his life on his favorite vacation.

He was a 1979 graduate of Avon High School. He and his wife moved to Key West in 1984 and welcomed their daughter Ashley.

Ken was a life long house painter with an admired professional reputation in the Keys. He recently returned to CT permanently, to address his health needs.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Roy Taylor. He leaves his daughter, Ashley Roy and her mother Ann Marie, of Hendersonville, NC.

He also leaves his good friend, Georgia Roy, of Key West, his father, George Roy, of Boca Raton, FL, and his three brothers and their wives, in CT : Chris & Terry Roy of Avon, Steve & Sally Roy of Barkhamsted, Doug & Denise Roy of Southington, as well as his nephew, Michael Roy and adoring niece, Jillian Roy.

He will also be missed by a host of family and friends, throughout the country, whose lives he touched.

Ken will be deeply missed as the "gentlest of the Roy Boys". As his last act of kindness, he was able to give the gift of sight to those in need.

Services will be private at the convenience of his family. Internment will be in Key West.
