 My heart goes out to you at this time of incomprehensible loss.  Lauren was the best wife a Marine could be blessed with, and every time I spoke with her, it was plain to see that you and your sons had the best person in the world for a wife and mother.

 You are in my prayers, Staff Sergeant, and may Our Good LORD Grant Dear Lauren Rest, and May HE Give Strength, Comfort, and Guidance to All of You, Amen.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was my teacher for 2 years at JFK back in 1998. she was a good teacher & she was a good person to talk to. She was my favorite teacher & I'll miss her very much.

I am a former student of Mrs. Lauren Bernier.  I was very upset after learning of her recent death.  I couldn't have asked for a more understanding, wonderful teacher. She made learning fun, always helped me to understand in the easiest way possible.  Lauren never gave up on her students.Because of Mrs. Bernier I went on to college and have a successful career with the airline industry.  I as forever grateful to her.  My sympathy goes out to you and your family.

Dear Jay & family,  

I am so sorry for your loss.  I knew Lauren in school and she was just always so friendly and happy.  I swear they always take the good ones so young.  My thoughts & prayers are with all of you.

Lauren was a good friend, if only for a brief period of time.  She had an infectious enthusiasm and evervescence for life's episodes, both large and small; especially for her Boston Celtics and her most beloved Celtic, Danny Ainge.

To Lauren, may you rest in peace with the knowledge that you left the world a better place for the many whose lives you touched.  And, say hi to Red, Johnny Most, and Lenny B.

To her family and friends, my sincerest condolences at your loss and hopes that in time grief will subside enough to be replaced only by the treasured memories of the lost, and that their incandescence will burn ever more brightly as time passes.

I'm deeply sorry for your family's lost. I knew lauren she was my teacher in middle school. She was the sweetest person.   she always greet me with a smile. S he would always ask how i was doing and my family and she said if i ever need to talk i can always come to her. I used to see lauren from time to time and she still had that smile.. she will be missed. 

p.s she will be in ours prayers as well as your family..and i hope your son pulls through we will be praying for him too..

     I didn't have the words to say about Lauren until today.  It helped me greatly to see her one last time.  She would have been so proud of you today.  You are a wonderful person and after seeing you today I know that her memory will live on in you forever.  Your children are so fortunate to have such a strong and wonderful father.  Lauren loved you with every ounce of her.   She talked about you so frequently and with such high regard.
     Lauren was an unbelievable person.  Those are the only words I can use to describe her.  She made me feel so warm and comfortable every time I was around her.  People loved being around her.  I know I did.  I will always remember that infectious laugh of hers.  There are not many people that could light up a room like she could.
    You, Brandon, and Evan will always be a part of our lives.  We are here for you with whatever you may need.  Please know that we will always love Lauren.  She will never be forgotten and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Lauren was one of my best friends all throughout Junior High School.  We hung out everywhere, slept over each others houses and such.  After high school, as most of us do, I lost touch with Lauren, but I have thought of her often.  I no longer live in CT, so I heard the news via my mother.  I was devistated. I loved Lauren very much, and so did my mom and dad (she was one of their "adopted dauthers") After I hung up the phone I cried, and I prayed for you.(especially her father, husband and two children)  Please know that my prayers are with you.

Dear Jay, Brandon, Evan, and Mr. Melican,
Words truly cannot express how sorry we are for your loss.  As I'm sure so many will agree, she was a true inspiration to fellow educators and particulary to me as I shadowed her some 8 years ago.  I learned various things from her, from how to keep my classroom clean with a daily dose of windex, to how to simply be an amazing teacher (a task that seemed effortless by Lauren).  Not only was she an inspiration professionaly but also for just being who she was.  Lauren's smile and laugh could lighten the darkest of moods and her true care and joy of life was contagious!  I could just hear her now...
I have no doubt that Lauren, who walked this earth as a living angel, immediately grew her wings upon reaching heaven's gates and is looking down and guiding us all.  God bless!

Words cannot fully express the saddness we are feeling for Lauren and her loving family and close friends and co-workers. We will be in the large group of people that will gather together over the next week to hold the family up with prayers and support. Lauren was like a daughter, and we had so much fun just talking about her exciting life and all the wonderful choices she made in her career and personal life. Jay and Bill your enoumous loss is so profound.  Brandon was her pride and joy and she was an example of what good mothering is all about.  My prayers are also with baby Evan and his speedy transition to the arms of his loving family. I remember how she loved Dunkin Donuts coffee and always had a cup in her hand when she would visit to tutor the girls.  At the library ,she had her own special table .  After school ,she would be there on a regular basis tutoring our Southington kids.  So many are successful today because of her partnership with their parents.  We were at her wedding, and we remember how she was insistant that the professional photogragher take time to gather all her students around her and Jay for a group picture. What a beautiful bride and groom you two were!!

Lauren was a nice girl, always happy and smiley. My prayers go to her husband and children.

     I was blessed to call Lauren my friend. I admired her and loved her too. There was no one who would even say an unkind word about Lauren. She was our star at JFK. Her step was quick, her humor was fast and her professionalism was of the highest order.
    Jay, she picked you one day at JFK as you visited. I was with Lauren. She knew that you were the one! It was love at first sight. I don't know if she ever told you the story but yes, by the end of the day, she had made a connection with you and it lasted for the rest of her life. She knew about love and taught us all.

I met Lauren so many years ago.
We were acquaintances in high school.  When school ended, we never did reconnect, but she left a lasting impression.  Lauren was just an amazing being.  Full of laughter and brightness.  She must have been a precious gift to all those who loved her.  Peace be with Lauren and her family.

I cannot express how sorry I was to hear of your loss.  Lauren was such a delightful person, always happy and so much fun to be with.  My heart goes out to her family and especially her children, I pray her spirit and love is with them always.

Out thoughts and prayers are with you.  Lauren was a true asset to the education field.  We were continually amazed by her depth of knowledge and advocacy for the rights of the children she taught.  Each contact we had with her, deepened our respect and awe.  We can't imagine having meetings without her and her wonderfully sparkling outfits.  She will be missed immensely and thought of fondly by us all.

Words cannot express the sorrow I have for you all.  Lauren and I began our teaching careers together at JFK. ( I am part of her crew that would meet anually at First and Last in Middletown) She was a shining light to everyone she came in contact with. I have never met someone so full of life, so caring and so compasssionate. I rememeber her joy when she first started dating you Jay and the overwhelming joy when you two were married and when you had Brandon. The last time I spoke with Lauren she was just as thrilled about the upcoming birth of baby Evan. Anyone who knew Lauren realized that her family was the light of her life. She adored you, Mr Melican and spoke so highly of you and your wife and what wonderful parent you are to her. Jay, she loved you with her whole heart and told us all what a wonderful husband and father you are. THe only comfort I can find at this time is that her light will shine on in her two sons. Her spirit and love of life not ever be forgotten. She was an exceptionally wonderful daughter, wife, mother, teacher and friend. I am so sorry for you great loss.

My deepest condolences to all.  Lauren was taken from us  much too soon.  I know she touched the hearts of all those she met.  I remember her as a wonderful,kind,considerate and bright student who brought sunlight into the classroom everyday.  She was a delightful student and I was privileged to have been her teacher.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Lauren was an amazing person who touched everyone she met.  Her life was dedicated to children with special needs. She was a true advocate for them.  She will be missed by many.  God bless you, Jay, Brandon, and Evan.
