Lisa was devoted to her husband, Edward E Cull Jr. Ed and Lisa shared an amazing 40 years of marriage filled with love and partnership before his passing in 2020. Lisa always had a smile on her face; her and Ed were the first ones on the sideline at their children’s events and never missed a chance to dance at any celebration.
Prior to her retirement, Lisa worked as a Cancer Center Clinical Manager at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT and previously Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. Lisa obtained her RN from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, BS from Eastern Connecticut University, and MSN from University of Hartford. After her retirement, Lisa volunteered with Hospice helping numerous families as she embraced opportunities to continue caring for others in their time of need.
Lisa was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be forever loved by her son Brian and wife Teresa Cull, of Southington, her daughter Laura and husband David Murtagh of Cortlandt Manor, NY; her sisters Anita Tyler of Harwich, MA, Lori Franz Lukey and husband Michael Lukey of Addison, PA, and Patricia and husband Donald Garrison of Hampton, NH; her four grandchildren Kylie, Elijah, Zoey and Harper; many loving nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Lisa was an avid gardener who had a gift of transforming any outdoor space into a magazine worthy oasis. She loved being outdoors and embraced every season with enthusiasm, enjoying activities such as walking, kayaking, ice skating, and cross-country skiing. Lisa expressed her love for others through cooking and baking, with many of her cherished recipes being passed along to friends and family. Her recipes remain crowd pleasers, often making appearances at family gatherings as one of “Lisa’s dishes”.
Upon moving to East Hampton, Lisa joined the Belltown Garden Club, where she found not only a shared passion for flowers and community beautification, but also lasting friendships. The club became a special part of her life, and during her health decline, the club members extended extraordinary kindness and support to Lisa and her family.
Lisa’s family is forever grateful to LiveWell for the remarkable care she received during her five-year stay. The entire staff's unwavering dedication and kindness brought comfort not only to Lisa but to all who loved her.
