Lucille G. Martin

Lucille G. Martin, 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General. She was the devoted wife of the late Onias Martin. Born November 23, 1934 in Frenchville, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cecile (Marquis) Blanchette. Lucille devoted her life to being the heart of the home. Her home was the go to place for family gatherings, both big and small. These moments are the most cherished memories that we, as a family, will forever hold close to our hearts. Lucille was also a parishioner of St Luke's Church.

She is survived by her four children, Diane Wight of Meriden, Danny Martin (Carol) of Burlington, Bruce Martin (Mary) of Meriden and Paul Martin (Tricia) of Bristol; her brother, Robert Blanchette and sisters Bernadette Galayda and Gail Ford. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way (2026) and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Onias of 58 years and her son, Gary Martin; three brothers Roland, Leo and Clifford Blanchette and sisters Artheline Blanchette and Rolande Morin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 8:00 Am - 10:15 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
