Lucy Micik

She was born May 13, 1924 in Manhattan, NY a daughter of the late Vito and Assunta (Mastroiacovo) Velotta. After retiring from New York Telephone Co., she moved to Bristol to be close to her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, reading and cooking Italian food.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Bunger and husband James of Southington and three grandchildren, Jennifer and her fiancée Dan Checovetes, Erica her husband Michael O’Keefe and Andrew Bunger, a great granddaughter Aubrey, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Peter, Michael and Joseph Velotta and four sisters, Mary and Betty Velotta, Gloria Micik and Louise Bohn.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Anthony Church 111 School Street, Bristol at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington.
