Maria Parillo

Redondo Beach, CA - Maria Casale Parillo, 78, formerly of 219 N. Main St., Southington, wife of the late Pasquale Parillo, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Little Company of Mary Hospital, Torrance, CA.

Mrs. Parillo was born July 29, 1928 in Italy. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church and the American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, CA.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Agnes and Thomas Gozzo of Redondo Beach, CA, her son and daughter-in-law; Antonio and Judy Parillo of Southington; 5 grandchildren, Erica and Elizabeth Gozzo, Anthony, Alexandra and Taylor Parillo; 3 sisters, Antonietta Fargnoli, Maria Grossi and Luigia Casale all of Italy; two brothers-in-law and their wives Nick and Rosa Parillo of FL, John and Maddalena Parillo of Southington, two sisters-in-law Maria Vecchio of Southington, Antoinette and her husband Mike Casale of FL, along with several nieces and nephews. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and loving friend, her compassion and kindness will always be remembered.

The funeral will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Donations in Maria's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, 2139 Silas Dean Highway, Rock Hill, CT 06067.
