Mario Coppola

Mario was born on January 15, 1931 in Ruviano, Italy and was the son of the late Michele and Luisa( Altieri) Coppola.

Mario had been an owner of Coppola Brothers Builders . He was also a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son Michael Coppola and his wife Mary, and a daughter, Maria Tarantino and her husband John all of Southington.

Four Grandchildren, Lisa Aszklar, Michael, Alex and Ariana Coppola; one great granddaughter, Catrina Aszklar and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Stefano and Giuseppe Coppola. Mario's family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Joni Hansson, Kathy Rodd and the team of CAPD, also Dr. Ralph Prezioso, and the doctors and nurses of St. Raphael's Hospital of New Haven.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville for a mass at 10 A.M. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
