Martin John Howard Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on September 9, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Martin and Frieda (Lattner) Howard Sr.
Martin dedicated many years of his life to the food service industry, notably serving as a banquet manager at the Aquaturf, where his commitment and attention to detail earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.
As a proud Navy veteran, Martin's service to his country was a cornerstone of his life. He valued camaraderie and the pride that came with being a part of something greater than himself.
Beyond his career, Martin was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time on the water, whether he was trying his luck fishing or simply enjoying the serenity of the open sea. One of his most cherished memories was chartering a boat with family, traveling from New England to Florida, and reveling in the vastness of the ocean. He was also an enthusiastic golfer, finding joy in the game and the time spent with friends.
He is survived by his three sons, Jason Howard, Jeremy Howard and his wife, Noelle, and Justin Howard and his wife, Candace, as well as his six beloved grandchildren: Ayden, Camden, Evelyn, Faith, Grace, and Barbara. He also leaves behind his sister, Patricia Chamberland, and her husband Dave, whose love and support were unwavering throughout his life.
Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Howard, who passed away in 1972, a loss that deeply affected him but never diminished his capacity for love.
