Mary O'Grady

Mary (Gavagni) O?Grady, 57, of Southington, passed away suddenly on April 17th. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard O?Grady, and her daughter Megan of Southington. She is predeceased by her youngest child, Collin, and her parents, Paul and Helen Gavagni, of Meriden. Mary has one grandchild, Cameron Mahaffy. Mary leaves behind one brother, Joseph Gavagni and his wife, Trisha, also from Southington. She has seventeen nieces and nephews.

Mary was born and raised in Meriden, CT and graduated from Briarwood College in 1975. She married Rich in 1978 and made Southington their home in 1985.

She loved her family, her beautiful gardens and traveling to tropical destinations. She devoted her time visiting patients as a volunteer for the Masonic Care Home, Health and Hospice and donated 5 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road in Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
