Maryetta Bienkowski

Maryetta (Labbie) Bienkowski, 61, of Plainville, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 surrounded by her family at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. She was the beloved wife of Grant Bienkowski for 34 years.

She was born Feb. 24, 1955 in Bristol, the daughter of the late Reginald and Rose (Saucier) Labbie. She had been employed at Bozutto’s in Cheshire in accounts receivable dept. She was a Southington High graduate class of 1973. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 72, the Southington Elks Lodge #1669, and the Falcons 307. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church. Maryetta had a passion for NASCAR and Bird watching; she enjoyed trips to Vermont for the scenery, the garlic festival as well as the Connecticut shoreline for seafood.

Besides her husband, Maryetta leaves behind her four legged baby “Liza Jane”, her sister, Arlene Shappy, her brother-in-law Glen Bienkowski and his wife Joan, her sister-in-law Sally Costantiello and her husband Robert. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Prunk and the staff of CCU East.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Dominic Church at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of CT, Inc.
