To the family of Michael Cassella.  Our thoughts and our prayers are with you in this time of saddness and reflection.  Uncle Mickey was truly one of the kindness and most caring people we have ever known.  He could always find time to send Ryan a nice card or thoughtful email just to let us know how much he was thinking of us.  Just the other night, we were looking at those emails and it put a smile on our faces.  We find comfort in knowing he is at peace now with Aunt Lilly.  Take care and God Bless you.

We will always remember Mickey (and Lil) with love and compassion in our hearts and will miss them... they were both such loving people... they extended their love for their grandchildren, Lisa and Gina to my girls as well... making sure they ate well, studied, gave them rides.... Paige was visibly upset to hear about Mickey's passing.  I know how much he has meant to them in their lives.  May God Bless his soul.

I do not always get the Hartford Courant, but I did last Sunday.  I was saddened to see the photo of "Mickey" in the Obituaries.  I knew his wife Lil when we worked together at the P&W plant in Southington in the 50's. I treasured her friendship and of course knew she loved and adored Mickey whom I also knew through the friendship with Lil.   I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you Michael, your wife Maria, and your two daughters. Dear Michael, Maria, Lisa & Gina-
We were so sad to hear of Mick's passing. He was a gentle soul and a great example to all of us. There are people who leave a big void when they go, so loving, so much a part of our lives that we miss them terribly. Mick was someone like that. It will take a while to see that everything he gave will always be with you. He was a dear man and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Dad, 

Today is Sunday, and this would be about the time I would start to plan and prepare our traditional Sunday Dinner. After dinner, and after asking you if you wanted coffee with your dessert, and you always saying no, you and Michael would tune into whatever sports team was playing, and share your passion for that team. I will miss those Sundays, but not nearly as much as I am going to miss you.
I was privileged to have known such a kind, respectful, generous man, that I could call Dad. 

You are a true Gentleman, who will be missed by many.

My prayers are with you during this difficult time.  I will always have fond and cherished  memories of Uncle Mickey--the quiet gentle man who somehow seemed to blend in  so well with the  Rocco's. Never heard him raise his voice or have an unkind word to say about anyone.  I will always have the summers at Belmar and the Christmas Holidays to remember. You were all so blessed to have this wonderful man in your life, and now he has gone on to be with his beloved wife, Lillian.  May you all find comfort in knowing that he will always be with you.

Dear Mike,Maria,Lisa and Gina,
Our thoughts are with you as you struggle to accept this sudden and great loss to your family. 
Little did we realize that all these years when we addressed your Dad/Grand-
father as "Mike "(at his request) we hadn't heard him correctly! He never once corrected us!
John remembers him as being current on so many topics that every conversation was easy and interesting . Being in his company was always a pleasure.
I read somewhere that when a loved one dies we are left not only with our memories but with an empty place in our hearts  and homes the size and shape of our loved one.  We have found this to be true.
We are not able to join you in person for the services but we are joined in thought and prayers.
