
Born in Sicily, July 8, 1912. She came to America with her parents as a very young child and lived most of her life in Southington where she was active in the Orchard Valley Garden Club, The Calendar House, St. Thomas Church, the Historical Society and the Southington Library. She was a woman who made a difference; proud to be an American, mother and wife. She was very well versed in many intellectual endeavors and was an environmentalist and protector of wildlife long before it became popular.
She was predeceased by her husband Chester E. Stinson.
She leaves a loving family, two children, Regina B. Stinson of Meriden and David Stinson of Middletown, three sisters and a devoted brother-in-law, Edith Rammondetta of Wethersfield, Rose Ferrari of Middletown, and Diana and Ted Tine of Portland. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Curtis Home for 10 years of loving care. A special heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Virgel for 5 years of love, loyalty and service.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington and 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a mass. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please absolutely no flowers.
