Born on August 28, 1945, in New Britain, he was the beloved son of the late Dino and Mary (Falco) Bernardi. Richard worked for several manufacturing companies throughout his career until his retirement. He was known for his quiet strength, steady work ethic, and enduring love for his family.
Richard is survived by his two sisters, Jean Croce and her husband Charles of Plantsville and Diana DeAngelo of Southington He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Albert Blanchette and his wife Lynelle of Southington, and Melissa Blanchette of Southington, Christine Morin of Branford, Doreen Connors of Darien, James DeAngelo of Southington and two great nephews Nicholas Blanchette and Connor Blanchette.
In accordance with his wishes, funeral services will be held privately with his family at St. Thomas Cemetery.
Richard will be remembered with love and missed deeply by all who knew him.
