Richard Edward Harvey

Richard E. Harvey passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut Bradley Memorial Campus. He was 87. Richard was born on July 9, 1938, in Ebensburg, PA., a son of the late Robert D. Harvey and Lorene (Edwards). He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannine "Gigi" Harvey. He has been a resident of Southington since 1959.

After graduating high school in 1954, Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force, for 4 years as a jet engine mechanic. Afterwards, in 1959, he relocated to CT where he was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 38 years before he retired. He and Gigi loved traveling the world, fine dining and being social. He was an avid golfer and would often play with his close friend, Nick.

Dick was loved by his friends and family.

He is survived by his brother Dean, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his best friend, Nick Botsacos.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jeannine, he is predeceased by his siblings, Duane, Robert, Dwight, Lillian and Marian.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington, CT.
